We now have 16 registered users in the gallery, from both the UK and Sardinia, which is excellent news!
 
As I like to ‘play’ with the software that runs the gallery, I have added some new user features as follows:

• User galleries – You can now share your own photos with the registered users of the site by creating your own album in the user gallery. Click ‘Create / order my albums’ in the menu at the top of the page to create an album. Then click on ‘New’ to create a new album, give it a name and then save it by clicking ‘Apply modifications’. Finally click on the @ symbol in the top menu and choose ‘Upload file’ from the menu to add images from your computer.
• A ‘buddy’ system has been added – you can invite your friends to join your buddy list giving you quick access to their last comments, last uploads and their profile. Just click on Memberlist in the top menu and then choose the person who you wish to add to your buddy list. Click on ‘Become friends’ and they will receive an email notification and can then add you as a buddy.
• Personal Messaging (PM) system – using this you can send one-to-one messages to other registered users. Click on the small ‘PM’ letters next to the ‘posted by’ label to contact the person who posted the photo. Alternatively, click on Memberlist in the menu to choose who you wish to send a personal message to then click on Send PM. An email notification will be sent.
• Subscribe to comments – you can subscribe to comments on a picture in order to receive an email notification of comments made by others on the same picture. Just scroll down the page when viewing a picture and click on ‘Get notified about new comments’.
• Avatars – this is a small image which other users see in your profile and when you post comments. To set up, click on ‘My profile’ in the menu and then scroll to the bottom and click on Avatars to upload your image.
